Hiring: Data Governance Analyst (US Citizens or Green Cards ONLY)- Atlanta, GA ( LOCAL To GA needed -- 3 days Hybrid , No Remote) Loc: Atlanta, GA (3 days Hybrid, No Remote) Rate: Open / hr Contract: Long Term Main Skills: data-driven and Governance-focused business; Defining metadata, data dictionaries and establishing policies , master data, metadata, data profiling, data lineage analysis, root cause analysis, data cleansing and data quality. Big Data platforms using MongoDB, Apache Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks distributions a plus JD: The role of Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for collaborating and establishing strong working relationships with business and IT partners to ensure proper data governance processes, procedures and standards are followed across Honeywell Connected Enterprise. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or technical discipline. 7+ years of related experience in data-driven and Governance-focused business; Defining metadata, data dictionaries and establishing policies, procedures and standards related to the collection and accuracy of data and performing tests on data systems on cloud platforms( Azure, GCP, Amazon etc). Experience working on Big Data platforms using MongoDB, Apache Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks distributions a plus Demonstrated knowledge and experience in master data, metadata, data profiling, data lineage analysis, root cause analysis, data cleansing and data quality best practices and industry standards. 2 / 2 Experience with Data Management tools such as Collibra, Information Builders, Waterline, Paxata, Informatica, Ab Initio, Databricks, Information Steward etc. Experience demonstrating an understanding of data management functions including data governance, data stewardship, data profiling, data quality, metadata management, data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing and business intelligence, master and reference data, data privacy, data security, and data integration Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, FedRAMP and other data compliance frameworks and have applied knowledgebase expertise Responsibilities: Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy for the organization. Define data governance policies, procedures, and best practices. Promote and educate others on data management practices to effectively implement and manage data governance standards and processes. Support the Enterprise Data Governance team to implement and Operationalize data governance process, best practices, and controls across the organization. Data Catalog Management: Utilize Databricks Unity Catalog to create, maintain, and enhance a centralized data catalog. Ensure data assets are properly documented, classified, and tagged for easy discovery and understanding. Data Quality and Integrity: Define data quality standards and establish data quality monitoring processes. Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to address data quality issues and ensure data accuracy. Data Privacy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry-specific standards. Develop and maintain data governance policies related to data security and compliance. Data Governance Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees about data governance principles and best practices. Foster a data-driven culture within the organization. Data Governance Reporting: Generate regular reports on data governance activities, including compliance metrics and data quality assessments. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. Exposure to IoT data governance/management environments, including upstream and downstream uses and implications.
