Installation, upgrade, configuration, and troubleshooting/problem resolution of IBM and third party layered products including application debugging tools, output and data management software utilities, and interactive development environments Interaction with both internal and external resources that include the associated I.S. application teams, I.S. infrastructure teams, corporate Service Desk, business teams, and hardware/software vendors Provide support to the mainframe application developers/programmers in implementing systems and resolving issues Provide on-call support as needed Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent experience required 8+ years in Information Technology with 5+ years in an enterprise mainframe systems programming environment Skills: Demonstrated knowledge & experience with programming languages, specifically including BAL, COBOL, and PL/I as plus. Fundamental knowledge of business processes Solid interpersonal and business relationship skills, including the ability to work independently or on a team Sound verbal & written communication skills Strong work ethic and initiative Organizational & planning skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, and project manage mid to large scale efforts Keywords: procedural language Rhode Island |
