The ideal candidate would have hands on API development along with API designing skills. Responsibilities: Works closely with business stakeholders, architecture teams to understand customer needs and support product owners in API Design, Prototyping and Testing Translate the business domain into several APIs by having a clear understanding of the business vision and its functions. Describes the API endpoints, methods, and resources in a standardized specification format. Provides a visual or code-based guided experience for designing, documenting, and testing APIs in any language . Ensures that APIs support business objectives while remaining easy to use, adaptable, testable, and well-documented. Ensures that API design balances security, performance, flexibility, maintainability, and cost objectives. Engages API consumers at multiple stages in the design process. Skills: Deep knowledge of REST fundamentals, OpenAPI, and AsyncAPI and API design best practices Acquainted with API design patterns to create a modern API design. Strong communication skill to explain complex technical concepts to product managers, designers, support, and other engineers; Ability to visually communicate an idea through diagrams.
