| Location work will be performed: NCO024 - Morrisville NC Hybrid Role Job Title: IT - Cyber Security Specialist I Only GC and USC will be considered Job Description: Cyber Threat Hunters II Hybrid role Job requirements: Uses data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats. Job description: Monitor the security patterns to identify, isolate, and detect cyber threats on the network. Proactively identifies, detects, analyzes and investigates sophisticated cyber threats, advanced persistent threats (APTs), and security incidents. EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 5+ years of experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols along with malware analysis in support of incident analysis and response. EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related disciplines CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more desired) -GCFE GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner. -GCFA GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (better than -GCFE). -GREM GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware. -Encase, SANS Institute Forensic Toolkit (SIFT) or FTK vendor certifications and product experience Additional Provisions: Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. Once a candidate's resume is approved and an interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process. If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance. All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card). Candidates must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years. Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative. Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at a straight time.
