Align project requirements and deliverables with the strategic and tactical goals of the organization. Establish and nurture positive relationships with project sponsors, participants, stakeholders, and customers. Measure and be accountable for the short- and long-term project results. This role will support a development team. The project follows the Agile methodology. However, with projects, we need a Project Manager to help manage scope, timeline and deliverables. The project manager will be responsible for leading the team to support the project plan. The PM will produce sprint metrics to help the team understand velocity and where improvements can be made. Responsibilities: Understand the business needs of the customer. Assist the IT Manager in defining and delivering the scope, schedule, budget, and quality levels for the project. Create and manage overall project plan, timelines, and milestones. Define sprint objectives and deliverables to meet those needs. These objectives should support the project plan milestones. Work with team to ensure user stories are created and groomed prior to each sprint planning. Identify roadblocks and help the team move past them. Manage an ongoing decision and risk log. Drive the team to create mitigation plans for risks. Create sprint metric reports for leadership review. Provide project status updates to leadership at the completion of each sprint. Required skills/experience/education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 5-7 years of IT project management experience. Proven experience delivering projects using Agile. Demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Effective written and oral presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal associates, business partners, and external vendors. Experience with Microsoft Office software and project planning tools. Preferred (nice to have) skills/experience education: PMP Certification or equivalent, or completed work towards PMP Certification Keywords: information technology |
