The contractor will install and integrate new server hardware and applications while keeping an eye out for needed updates, support and administer third-party applications, and ensure network security and connectivity. Other functions that the contractor shall perform include monitoring network performance and testing for weaknesses. The contractor will also set up user accounts, permissions and passwords. Additionally, the contractor will assist the Government IT Lead in resolving problems reported by end users, defining network policies and procedures, help to specify system requirements and design solutions, and research and make recommendations on server system administration.
