[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title Senior Linux System Engineer Job Location Concord, NC ( with onsite requirements/ weekly hybrid- 3-4 days in office in the Kannapolis/Concord NC, conveniently located off Interstate 85. We may be able to consider 1 remote candidate in the EST or CST time zone for a contract only option) Duration 6 Months Interview Virtual The Linux Systems Cloud Engineer will be responsible for implementation, support and development, of Server, Storage and Cloud infrastructure. In addition, the Systems Engineer will be tasked with basic scripting and integration tasks as necessary. Configure, deploy and support various Compute systems (HP, EC2, Lenovo) Configure, deploy and support VMWare ESXi and VCenter virtualization applications. Configure, deploy and support various Linux operating systems (CentOS, RHEL, Debian, etc) Configure, deploy and support NAS storage appliances (NetApp) as well as Cloud based Storage (EBS, NFSv3, etc) Configure and support various Linux services and daemons (MySQL, SMTP, DNS, HTTPD, SSL, Kerberos etc) Utilize Python or other modern scripting language to automate routine tasks and system functions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, sales, and operations to deliver high-quality products and services to our clients. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in engineering processes and technologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer or similar role, preferably in the telecommunications or Information Technology sector. Proficiency with at least one scripting language (Bash, Perl, Python, node, etc) Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. Strong technical background in telecommunications or Information Technology solutions, including experience with systems architecture, Integration, and cloud infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with vendors and partners. Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
