Position: Lead SAP ERP Consultant Location: Southern California (REMOTE) Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: Analyzes ERP technology systems, related business processes and data to create functional designs and deliver business process improvements. Is instrumental in capturing and managing high-level functional requirements and translating them into complex cross-functional ERP solutions that deliver targeted business outcomes. Drivess the creation and development of functional system requirements and identifies and supports the build of the appropriate ERP solutions that support business strategies and performance goals in the assigned value streams and business process domains. Ensures that the solutions align with the approved enterprise and solution architecture principles and design best practices, and are delivered with high-quality and operational stability. Duties: Performs functional solution and design with an understanding of the business process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional/business process domain Perform technology solution mapping and fit-gap analysis Provide Functional SME expertise in the one or more moderate to highly complex business processes, leading efforts such as driving workshops, sprint planning, executing fit-to-standard reviews, etc. Provides functional/technical oversight to system integration and product support partners Peforms functional/technical configuration and customization Performs solution roadmap and deployment planning for one or more ERP business process domains; collaborating with SAP and/or other ERP-related enterprise applications Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Sceience, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related technical major/subject area. Experience: . Ten (10) or more years of functional experience across a wide range of SAP ERP or related non-SAP ERP functional areas such as Finance, Time Management, Payroll, Materials Management, Logistics, Plant Maintenance-Work Management, Plant Maintenance- Asset Management, etc. Ten (10) or more years designing and creating solutions of SAP/S4 ERP related capabilities and requirements for one or more functional areas such as Finance, Time Management, Payroll, Materials Management, Logistics, Plant Maintenance-Work Management, Plant Maintenance- Asset Management, etc. Ten (10) or more years of experience Seven (7) or more years of experience translating complex business needs and requirements into appropriate technology solutions within the NextGen ERP in-scope ERP business processes and solution footprint. Seven (7) or more years experience peforming full life-cycle SAP/ERP solution implementations Seven (7) or more years experience of business process design Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolve design issues and/or defects Experience working with SAP upgrades/implementations Experience developing functional specifications in support of the development of Reports, Forms, Interfaces, Enhancements and Workflows Analyze integration requirements and work with legacy non-SAP systems support teams and technical development teams to translate them into design specifications. Support cut-over planning and execution Support data profiling, extraction, cleansing and transformation activities Required Skills: Expert level background in configuration of SAP/ERP applications and/or modules with deep understanding of related business processes and operating models Performing business process design in support technology enablement projects using standards and frameworks such as BPMN 2.0 Possess an expert level of understanding of software development practices and project life cycles Significant experience performing designing and conducting fit-to-standard Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Requirements management in both agile or waterfall delivery methodologies SAP or ERP-related Enterprise Applications implementation or upgrade experience Experience creating use cases, user stories and other requirements artifacts Development of Business Process Procedures, Configuration Rationale, Functional Design Specifications, Technical Design Specifications and other software delivery lifecycle artifacts Experience performing data and system flow analysis in support of solution design Experience developing test scenarios, scripts, performing unit testing, integration testing and coordinating user acceptance testing to resolve and close defects Has a strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive clarity in complex and ambiguous scenarios Supports one or more moderately to highly complex business processes Support production issues as related to applications functionality and integrations (after go-live) Strong communications skills, with the keen ability to comnunicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences, both, orally or in presentation formats. Ability to operate with incomplete information and make timely decisions Ability to work within a matrixed environment, and to form, lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams Experience with electrical utility business processes, with emphasis on Finance (Record to Report), Supply Chain, Procure-to-Pay, Asset Management (Acquire to Decommision), Work Management Preferred Skills: SAP ERP S/4 implementation experience (at least one 1 full life cycle implementation) Experience using business process management (process modeling, simulation, process mininig) solutions such as SAP Signavio Business Process Intelligence suite of capabilities Experience designing and creating enterprise application solution extensions and customizations using cloud-based technology platforms such as SAP Business Technology Platform or Microsoft Power Apps platform Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification and 2 or more years of practioner experience Experience in design thinking and UI/UX improvement as part of enterprise applications implementations, ideally SAP ERP or S/4 ERP Knowledge of TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture Standards IT Operations/Management experience with enterprise applications such as SAP ERP Experience with cloud platforms and services using SAP reference architectures, including AWS or MS Azure.
