End Date: 06/30/2024 Location: North Chesterfield, VA Interview Type: In Person Only Work Arrangement: Onsite Complete Description: *local candidates strongly preferred *manager will ONLY conduct onsite interviews, NO exceptions *candidate MUST be comfortable working ONSITE for the first several weeks - length of time to be determined by manager. Then candidate can work remotely up to two days each week. Works with IT engineering team to implement and provide support to agencys IT system infrastructure. Performs day-to-day activities related to the support, research, analysis, and implementation of VMware and Windows systems and infrastructure. Considerable knowledge, experience, and understanding of working in a VMware and Windows environment is required. This includes: In-depth experience with troubleshooting VMware and Windows problems. Thorough knowledge of and in-depth experience with performance monitoring, system testing, OS upgrade, and software patch Installation and testing in a VMware and Windows environment. Experience with standard server networking protocols. In-depth experience with medium to large-scale VMware and Windows environments. Experience with providing technical support. Experience working with and writing PowerShell scripting. Excellent communicative & collaborative skills Skills: In-depth and hands on experience working in VMware performing Maintenance, VMtools updates, Hardware compatibility updates Required 7 Years In-depth/hands on experience working on Windows Server 2012/ higher performing setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, and configuration Required 7 Years In-depth and hands on experience working on Windows Server 2012/ higher performing OS upgrades, OS patching, installations, setup, and configuration Required 7 Years Hands on Experience working in and troubleshooting medium to large-scale enterprise server environments Required 7 Years In-depth experience and ability to work with and write PowerShell scripts Required 7 Years Experience working with SAN technology attached to VMware infrastructure performing setup, validation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Required 7 Years Experience translating user requests into actionable VMware or Windows task Required 7 Years Experience working with and understanding standard networking protocols Required 7 Years Ability to communicate and interact effectively with management, users, information technology personnel, and vendors, both orally, and in writing.
