We follow a three-tiered approach for our resourcing needs: Tier 1 - Architects - Leadership, (PoC), Upgrades, Foundational Operations Tier 2 - Taking things to Scale, Supporting the Editors, Production grade upgrades. Tier 3 - Maintenance, Bug Fixes, Platform operation and managed services We are seeking a Tier 1 Lead WordPress Engineer with prior media experience and working within large websites, understanding the nuances and production grade service orientation of websites that have millions of visitors per month. This Team Leader role will report to the Senior Director of CMS & Publishing Technology and manage the entire day to day operations of the whole engineering team (Tier -2 and Tier -3). We seek a candidate who can display: thought leadership. Communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders and take ownership & accountability. manage priorities. improving standards contribute proactively to performance optimization. contribute to efficient coding standards. have experience in custom development. experienced in React + Gutenberg dynamic block creation. find ways to increase efficiency. effective knowledge of unit testing automation mature understanding of the business, its user base and production uptime values forward thinking to ensure that the platform is as efficient as possible. A balance of Front-End, Full-Stack, Back-End and Plug-In specialty across the WordPress engine is desired.
