Plz send me resume ASAP to [email protected] Job Description: Systems Engineer - VMware Cloud Services (Windows) Client: State of MD Location: Crownsville,MD Hybrid Remote Duration of the Contract: Long-term VM Ware additional information- Looking for a candidate with 3-4 years in Unix, Windows, VMWare, and Netapp storage. Should have scripting experience in Bash or Python (minimum). An ideal candidate should have some experience in cloud platforms and should come with an automation-first mentality. 1-3 years of experience with Cisco UCS Compute platform (B & C-Series equipment with Internight Management) 4 years of exp --Firm grasp of Windows (2016, 2022) and Unix 7 operating systems. Install, configure, support and troubleshoot systems or applications. 4 years experience with VMware vSphere environments (versions: 6.5, 6.7, 7.0). Collaborate with application teams and other systems engineers to build, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure on-premises or in AWS using a wide array of proprietary and open-source technologies. Expert-level grasp of at least one programming, automation or scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, .NET/C#) Working knowledge on storage subsystem and protocol concepts of any of the following: iSCSI, Fiber Channel, NAS, CIFS, SMB Thorough understanding of computer networking (DHCP, DNS, HTTP, TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, OSI model) 1-2 years experience with dB (Oracle, SQL preferred) Experience managing support engagements with our partnered vendors. Required Skills: 2 years experience with deploying, configuring, and securing VMware products, including ESXi, vCenter 2 years experience with configuring, and securing Windows and Active Directory 2 years experience with VMware product line - vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vRealize, NSX-T and other Infrastructure components 2 years experience with vCenter, ESX Maintenance activities. This includes patching and upgrades. 2 years experience with Installation & Troubleshooting of VMware ESXi Servers & vCenter. This includes -- support of VMware and windows environment by resolving the escalated tickets for the internal customers. 1 year experience with Linux or UNIX administration and automation 1 year experience with Oracle dB setup and replication. Other Skills Valuable to this Position: Strong understanding of Windows server and desktop operating system Experience with VMware/Citrix Experience, User profile management and Application Virtualization Experience with scripting in PowerShell Migration to AWS lift and shift.
