Please find the attached Job Description Title: Infrastructure / Virtualization Engineer (VMWare, Azure, Windows) Location: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: The MTA Cybersecurity department is seeking an experienced well-rounded IT professional to assist with supporting Police and Physical Security related technology projects. This position will make certain that all Police and Physical Security IT currently installed and introduced into the MTA infrastructure meet IT and Cybersecurity standards, policies & procedures. The consultant will coordinate between various vendors, Cybersecurity, IT and Business groups as well as provide technical advice and guidance to stakeholders. Assist in identifying and mitigating risks and manage all related tasks to achieve the desired result. The consultant will require hands on technical experience to assist with administering workstations, servers and software. Onsite visits and travel throughout the MTA Region are required. The candidate must reside in the New York Metropolitan Area, work onsite and may be subject to a Police Background Investigation. The interview will involve technical questions which the candidate must successfully complete. Requirements: Hands on expertise with VMWARE, Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2019-2022), Windows 10 / 11 & Active Directory in a System/Network Administrator, System/Network Engineer or similar role. Proficient with troubleshooting network, server, desktop and security related issues assisting with identifying root cause and steps to mitigate issues. Experience working in a team environment to implement network, security, server hardware and enterprise software solutions. Expertise in the assessment and system administration of Enterprise Software A solid foundation in information technology, including the principles and practices of system assessments, administration and maintenance. Strong analytical skills to comprehend requirements and relate such requirements to the appropriate configurations. Extensive knowledge using Office 365 & Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, PowerPoint & Visio Solid understanding of project management principles. Ability to make decisions and provide solutions by inquiring, assessing, listening and evaluating information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must. A background in Police, Public Safety or Physical Security related technology such as Video Management, Card Access Control, Video Analytics or similar technology is a plus and if available, please provide specific details. Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT related field Minimum 7-9 years of Information Technology experience 3-5 years of experience in a System Administrator or Engineer role Police or Public Safety related experience is very helpful.
