In this role you will deal with one of the most important topics - development of applications and extensions on SAP BTP to help our customers achieve their cloud transformation goals while keeping their S/4HANA core clean. As a development architect you will use your hands-on development skills to create cloud solutions on SAP BTP, provide oversight of extended development teams on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore. You must be able to understand and learn modern technologies, development languages, concepts, and tools within a fast self-learning environment, able to solve complex and dynamic challenges, turning them into simple and seamless solutions while working in an agile team applying Scrum and other agile development practices. Tasks for this role include: Perform detailed analysis of customer business processes and requirements to produce product backlog (detailed requirements) for complex and large projects. Define and architect the solution design and create work packages for development team members Design and develop next generation SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP applications and extensions, frequently iterate with our internal and external stakeholders Expert level knowledge in delivering projects in Agile/Scrum Methodology Participate in project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents and code reviews Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure successful project completion Be a multiplier of your skills by actively mentoring other technical resources on your team Continually enhance existing skills and seek new areas for personal development Skills Requirements: 8-10+ years of hands-on development experience on SAP S/4HANA 3+ years of experience on SAP BTP Programming languages and skills: ABAP, Java or JavaScript (in Side-by-Side and Core scenarios) Strong UI development experience with HTML5, SAPUi5/Fiori Development experience with one or more BTP extension technologies: Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) SAP S/4HANA Cloud ABAP Environment (Embedded Steampunk) Low-Code/No-Code platform for Citizen Development Workflow Management Knowledge of databases features (HANA) Excellent hands-on experience of tools: SAP ABAP Development Tools (ADT) SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) SAP Build Apps is a plus Experienced with the generic web development stack and standard web development technologies. Strong understanding of the BTP platform business values, technical architecture, and catalogue of services, Familiarity with platform services generally used for technical tasks, like Audit Log, HANA Cloud, Notifications, Cloud Foundry, CI/CD, SAP Business Application Studio, Transport Management, and connectivity Good technical knowledge in one of the following industry solutions is desired: Oil and Gas Chemical Life Sciences Retail CPG Manufacturing Public Sector Good communication skills JDC Groups SAP BTP Development Services practice includes a broad array of services to help our clients manage costs and optimize their SAP investments through upgrade readiness and cloud transformation advisory, design and development of future-proof cloud solutions, deployment, and ongoing support.
