Role:-Project manger with network security Location:-100% remote, but lets stay away from EST people because they client is based on Southern California. The manager wants someone to start the first week of Nov. USCs and GCs only. This is basically a Project Manager for Network Security Engineers, but they will have to have that network security Engineer background. THEY HAVE TO HAVE PERFECT ENGILISH. THEY WILL BE INTERACTING WITH CLIENTS GLOBALLY. This is from the manager: Good Meeting with Atif to discuss his Network Security Assessment Project. They will be assessing 18 different affiliates in South America, Mexico, the US and Canada. The goals to assess their networks for potential internal and external security threats, create a Gap Analysis Document, and then do remediation. This consultant he seeks is managing and coordinating the effort and not actually doing the assessement and remediation. He is looking for someone that can he his right hand person for this project and keep him up to date. they have another technical resources that will be doing the actual assessments and remediation work. This person has to have come from a technical networking background, but most of the work they will be doing is more Project Management, Coordination and advisory in nature. Communication skills and collaboration skills are key since they will be working with different affiliates with different levels of technical acumen and different sized companies. My job description: PROJECT DETAILS: Our client is looking for someone with a Network Security/Cyber Security background who will be responsible for managing a team of Network Security Engineers from a Project Management perspective. The right person will have a Network Security Background but also be experienced in Project Management for Network Security Projects. This person will be assessing 18 different affiliates in South America, Mexico, the US and Canada. The goals to assess their networks for potential internal and external security threats, create a Gap Analysis Document, and then do remediation. This consultant he seeks is managing and coordinating the effort and not actually doing the assessment and remediation. The client is looking for someone that can be the Lead for this project and keep them up to date. They have another technical resources that will be doing the actual assessments and remediation work. This person has to have come from a technical networking background, but most of the work they will be doing is more Project Management, Coordination and advisory in nature. Communication skills and collaboration skills are key since they will be working with different affiliates with different levels of technical acumen and different sized companies. Project Management Experience is required. Here is the background skill set: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in networking or cybersecurity Strong understanding of OSI model, WAN/LAN, and network segmentation. Experience working with next-gen firewalls, IDS/IPS, Routers, switches, and other networking technologies. Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) concepts Experience with Cisco and Meraki networking devices Experience with Power Point, project management, and network design tools such as Visio, etc. Deep knowledge of: Internet routing and security best practices. Experience in architecting and engineering global networks. Experience with vulnerability assessments. Knowledge of network security tools and techniques. Experience with EDR Tools. Knowledge of security standards and international regulatory compliance including NIST 800-53 and Cybersecurity Frameworks, NIST/ISO. Experience with external/internal network hardening. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, preferably ability to communicate in Spanish. Project management skills.
