Roles/Responsibilities: Perform project management activities to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close a project in accordance with an established project management framework. Organize and coordinate with business stakeholders and technical teams to conduct feasibility analysis to fully develop the business case and project justification. Obtain project charter approval and secure executive sponsorship for projects. Work with customers and resource managers to secure project resources. Lead and manage project teams to execute projects and complete project deliverables according to plan. Measure project performance regularly to identify variances from the plan. Monitor project progress and report to key stakeholders. Consult, brief, and engage senior and executive management to provide business and technical recommendations. Make sound business decisions based on limited, complex, or contradictory information. Learn and utilize specialized terminology and processes as needed by the specific assignment. Read, understand, and apply technical information pertaining to computer software and hardware Communicate effectively both orally and in writing for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization Mandatory Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management Management of IT infrastructure and/or system implementation projects. Management of application development and/or implementation projects. Management of projects using waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies Development and implementation of organizational change plans. Experience with requirements gathering, project charter and SOW development Experience with risk management, matrixed team management, communications plan development, and status reporting Principles and methods of facilitating discussions and problem resolution in a group setting. Methods of conducting effective meetings. Standard principles and practices of customer service. Standard methods and techniques of developing and presenting technical documentation and training materials. Desirable Skills: Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification a plus. Keywords: information technology |
