| From: Subodh, TEK INSPIRATIONS LLC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Scala Developer (7-8 yr) Location: Local to Philadelphia are only, PA Hybrid No relocation Duration: 6+ months Interview: Phone/Skype Contribute to the Design and develop high quality software for large-scale Scala distributed systems using Databricks and AWS Cloud Ingest and process streaming data sets using appropriate technologies including but not limited to, AWS Cloud (Kinesis, S3, Lambda), Spark, and Kafka Skills: 1-3 years of programming experience in Scala, preferably in Big Data space Good knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Strong communication skills Experience with Databricks, kafka, spark and AWS services like s3, kinesis, lambda Good understanding of Big Data concepts and experience with GitHub and CI/CD tools DX organization (Data Organization) - build out data pipelines in AWS mostly and deliver data to syndication partners and Comcast Teams They make the data, are the data engineering team; delivery is streaming - video, broadband, xfinity games, anything X1 80% of code is written in Scala It is critical that they must complete their tasks assigned. 1. All code is Scala based - 2. Looking for a Scala developer 7-8 years experience 3. 1-3 years is good looking for data background preferably, but Scala Dev without data background will work also 4. Anything AWS or big data can be trained on Typical day would look like - 5. Will be part of a scrum team - 2 week sprints; 6. This engineer will have requirements to build out data sets; 7. Every month has a new data set to build out; 8. Needs to build a Spark job that will be read by Kafka, Dynamo or other source; 9.
