Job Title: Platform Engineer With VMware Duration: 12+ Months/Contract Location: Atlanta, GA/ Lakeland, FL (Hybrid) Visa: No H1B & Opt, Cpt Team: Infrastructure Product Engineering Skills Required: Must have 1-3 years of experience in supporting various Operating Systems in a Microsoft Active Directory managed environment. 2-4 years of experience in a Server Engineering position, preferred Minimum 1 year of experience with multiple hardware platforms Minimum 1 year of experience with various infrastructure platform management tools to include HPE OneView, RedHat Satellite, SCCM, SCVMM, VMware vCenter, etc Minimum 1 year of experience with carious core VMware technologies including vSphere ESXi, and vSAN, VMware Cloud Foundation, and vRealize Suite. Minimum 2 years of experience with PowerShell, Power CLI, & Chocolatey scripting Minimum 4 years of experience with PowerShell & PowerCLI scripting Minimum 4 years of experience in a Windows Server Engineering position, is preferred. Extensive experience with the VMware technologies including vSphere ESXi, vSAN and NSX-T Experience with various infrastructure platforms to include VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, RHEV etc. Experience with various infrastructure platform management tools to include HPE OneView, RedHat Satellite, SCCM, SCVMM, VMware vCenter, etc. Experience with various VMware technologies including vSphere ESXi, NSX and vSAN. Experience with various VMware products such as vCenter, vROPS, vRLI, SDDC, LCM, vIDM, and vRNI Experience with deploying and managing various Operating Systems in a Microsoft Active Directory managed environment including Windows Servers, RedHat, and vendor supplied appliances. Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Chocolatey scripting Experience with multiple hardware vendor platforms to include HPE and Dell Experience with automation tools and development operations such as Ansible. Automated Platform and Terraform Experience with high availability technologies such as SAN, RDMs/Shared VMDK, Clustered Storage, Server/SQL Clusters, & Network Load Balancers Experience with network concepts such as gateways, subnets, firewalls, AD/Infoblox DNS, NSX/DFW tags, & VM level Micro-segmentation Experience leading small to medium project from requirements through implementation. High degree of self-motivation, productivity, commitment, and integrity Good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others of various ranges of technical abilities and to be a team member) Bachelors degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience Special Qualifications: Experience with the full VMware Cloud Foundation product stack, preferred. Experience with an agnostic approach to Multi-Site Private/Public Cloud design with working knowledge of Dynamic Capacity, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, & Site Recovery, preferred. Experience with platform infrastructure and Guest VM automated builds with long term management, preferred. Responsibilities: Create, maintain, track, & clean up point in time purpose built VMs of various configuration types & OSes in Sandbox utilized for various Proof of Concept (POC) efforts Track, maintain, and coordinate ongoing Sandbox infrastructure platform efforts that include host expansions/updates, appliance deployments/upgrades, and proposed access changes Assis peer engineers with backlog of POC projects, vendor provided fixes/updates, and/or security findings to be validated in Sandbox Validate Sandbox configuration through automation whenever possible and manually when necessary Document and/or remediate Sandbox configuration drifts Creation and peer review of documentation and automation runbooks/playbooks Validate, maintain, & update Sandbox related documentation Monitor, assign, and resolve Sandbox related incidents during regular working hours Amit Vikal (AV) Thoth IT LLC Mobile : 215-403-2870 -- Keywords: active directory information technology Florida Georgia |
