Role: Sr. Data Scientist Olaplex is looking for a Sr. Data Scientist who will collaborate & help drive customer behavioral analysis and segmentation (Customer Data Platform), generative AI capabilities & models, as well as complex reporting and prediction pipelines. They will develop forecasting models for critical business areas and develop, grow, and support all aspects of data sourcing, cleansing, analyzing, and reporting. The Sr. Data Scientist must be a strong business partner, someone driven to excel in the art & science of data and analytics; as well as a collaborator who loves to solve real business problems. You will work with the Data Lead, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, internal stakeholders, and outsourced partners. Working, learning, and developing across various sources of data to build significant data capabilities using many tools and platforms, building for several teams, is key for thriving in this role. Job Responsibilities: The data scientist is responsible for the data science capabilities of the data platform and developing those as a key part of the overall data platform In partnership with the Data Lead, data team, and technology leads across other tracks the data scientist is responsible for creating and maintaining data science platform capabilities focusing on reporting, analysis, forecasting, BI, data warehouse, and analytics stack which maximizes data and business intelligence capabilities Responsible for the customer data platform (collection of all kinds of customer data, including behavioral data, segmentation, analysis, prediction, and supporting other teams with actions on the results) Building recommendation and personalization engines, based on customer data analysis Developing forecasting models for finance and supply chain; turning these into robust, easy to use forecasting tools Support the team in creating robust, trusted reporting (ensure clean data input, cross checking, create transparency for the users) Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement of metrics and processes; identify process gaps and areas for optimization and automation From time-to-time support teams (Finance, Marketing, eCommerce, transformation) with ad-hoc & deep-dive analysis Communicate reporting / prediction outcomes and improvement areas effectively Required: 10+ years professional experience, 3+ experience as Data Scientist Proficiency in machine learning and modeling (regression, time series / forecasting, classification, clustering, statistical analysis), SQL and Python Experience with customer segmentation, quantitative and qualitative modelling of customer behavioral data Excellent communications and presentation skills; comfortable talking to business users Comfortable with handling, cleaning, and transforming large quantities of data from multiple sources in an AWS / Snowflake / DBT Cloud / Stitch /Informatica environment Experience with Tableau is highly preferable -- Keywords: artificial intelligence business intelligence active directory information technology green card |
