Technical Project Manager - Connected Truck Applications

Lewisville, TX or Renton, WA (Onsite)

Long-term contract with potential for direct hire after one year

Experience required:
15+ years years

Qualifications:

            Bachelors degree required, Masters degree a plus.

Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in automotive and 2 years specifically in telematics. Minimum 10 years of automotive experience acceptable.

            Strong operational and issue management expertise, vendor management experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of wireless technologies and telematics systems.

ITIL/ITSM certification highly preferred.

            Must have manager/leadership qualities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.

            Willingness to work with a team across different time zones, occasional adjustments to working hours may be required for emergencies.

            Open to candidates relocating to Lewisville, TX, or Renton, WA.

Responsibilities:

            Oversee multiple projects, including the development of telematics ECU for trucks and a device that collects and sends data to the cloud for customers.

            Manage a team in India (9 members) responsible for software updates in Telematics Control Unit (TCU) and oversee regular application overview.

            Support both hardware and software aspects of telematics and OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.

            Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, managing vendor relationships and addressing operational and issue management.

            Create reports on application overview, identify and report issues promptly.

            Collaborate with operations manager in Europe to oversee the team in India.

            Report to John Jose.

            Host and manage Issue Triage meetings, identify root causes, and lead successful implementation and validation of solutions.

            Evaluate and monitor Connected Truck Systems for issue and performance trends.

            Lead the modification and maintenance of enterprise-wide Connected Truck release schedules.

            Supervise Connected Truck Technical Operations activities and validation of current and future telematics services.

            Conduct technical reviews of Connected Truck systems health and report issues, gaps, and mitigation steps.

            Ensure effective communication to management and business partners regarding resolved technical operations issues, incidents, or maintenances.
