The senior data Architect will work to define and govern the data landscape for projects and initiatives under the guidance of the senior director of Data Engineering and Data Science. The candidate will work directly with project managers to deliver data architecture artifacts within the agreed timeframe and collaborate with data analysts, developers, and stakeholders to create and manage roadmaps for EDW/MDM solutions/integrations. Day 1 Onsite Dallas, Texas Position Responsibilities Provides expert-level consultation for designing and developing enterprise-wide data and information architecture. Architect an Azure cloud-native enterprise data solution emphasizing data integration, data governance, data quality, and catering to reporting end-use. Participates in the creation and maintenance of data architecture governance and standards documentation. Works with functional business partners to ensure appropriate terminology is applied to metadata. Facilitates, delivers, advocates for, and supports all aspects of the EDW & MDM programs within the global application landscape. Creates conceptual and logical data models using industry-standard modeling tools. Facilitates the transformation from logical to physical design and implementation. Implements and evangelizes the metadata management, design, and delivery strategy. Supports MDM plan and direction toward a single version of truth. Provides instruction, training, and expert guidance to staff members on all aspects of existing and new Data Architecture techniques, best practice strategies, and technologies. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience 10+ years of systems and technical architecture analysis, design, implementation, and support of manual/automated database systems and technical architectures Demonstrated experience delivering scalable & high-volume big data & data warehousing products to support operational and analytical data needs for operational systems, data science, and analytics team Must have Azure data factory experience Experience in cloud data warehouse solutions such as Azure Synapse, snowflake, and Databricks is a plus. Design and Evaluate Data Models (Star, Snowflake and Flattened) Design data access patterns for OLTP and OLAP-based transactions Erwin Data Modelling v9 (or similar) Strong knowledge of Big Data Cloud Platform technologies such as Azure, Kafka, Snowflake cloud data warehousing, Keywords: |
