Job Title: Azure Documentation Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Years of Experience: 10+ years Responsibilities: Create and Maintain Documentation: Develop clear and comprehensive documentation for Azure-based applications, infrastructure, and network configurations, including diagrams, architectural designs, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with application developers, infrastructure engineers, and network specialists to gather information and ensure that documentation aligns with the actual environment. Update Documentation: Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes in Azure resources, configurations, and deployments. Version Control: Implement version control and document change management processes to keep track of document revisions and maintain a history of changes. Best Practices: Stay informed about Azure best practices and make sure documentation aligns with the latest industry standards. Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization by conducting training sessions and workshops for team members. Troubleshooting Guides: Develop troubleshooting guides to help the support and operations teams quickly resolve issues related to Azure systems. Security Compliance: Ensure that documentation includes information about security measures and compliance requirements in Azure environments. Documentation Tools: Utilize documentation tools and software to create, organize, and manage documentation efficiently. User-Friendly Documentation: Create user-friendly documentation that can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Proven experience working with Azure, including familiarity with Azure services, virtual networks, security, and infrastructure components. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, Markdown, etc.). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and documentation management tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Azure certifications are a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager templates or Terraform. Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of security best practices in Azure environments. Previous experience in a documentation role or technical writing is advantageous.
