[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role: Senior Software Engineer Location: Owings Mills, MD, O n-site Role Local candidate: locals first Duration: 6-12 months contract Interview Mode: Phone + video Visa: USC, GC only LinkedIn: Required As a Senior Software Engineer, your job responsibilities will include developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle. You will also determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. In addition, you will document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. Your role will be to prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. You will also improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures. It is expected that you will update your job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. You must also protect operations by keeping information confidential. To accomplish the engineering and organization mission, you must complete related results as needed and support and develop software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities. As a candidate, you will join a project team working on shared services and capabilities used by our global digital experiences. You should be able to work collaboratively with other senior engineers and work self-sufficiently when required. The team is made up of full stack engineers working on Cloud Services in AWS, building APIs with GraphQL as well as Front-End Technologies such as Web Components. The qualifications and skills required for the Senior Software Engineer position include a B.A. or B.S. in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline. An M.S. degree is preferred along with four years of job-related experience and four years of experience as a software engineer. You must be experienced in computer programming.
