Role: Servicenow Lead QA Tester

Location:  Remote (Phoenix, AZ )

Duration:  Contract

POSITION OVERVIEW : This position is the lead tester for all changes and fixes to the ServiceNow implementation at our client.

Job description

Day-to-Day Job Duties:

Test changes, enhancement and fixes for ServiceNow Service Catalog items, order guides and record producers for request fulfilment process.

Design and develop Service Catalog items, order guides and record producers for request fulfilment process.

Attend Training and workshops to understand ServiceNow application flow.

Work on assigned tasks and provide timely updates to Manager and Leads.

Test patch fixes to check whether the existing functionality is not affected and notify the leads

Follow and execute a checklist of tasks that are required for deploying update sets from one instance to another.

Program simple Business rules, Script Includes and Client Scripts as per business needs..

Alert team leads about unusual activity on the application instance.

Coordinate and support senior engineers by maintaining ACL (Access control) policies that acts as a layer of security for ServiceNow platform.

Modify pre-built notifications which provides timely updates to users about new requests, ticket approvals, SLA expiration, SLA breach, user feedback and survey notifications.

Run automated test scripts on developed functionalities to identify defects.

Provide status as requested by client and Client personnel

Adhere to client and client administrative policies and procedures such as timely and accurate timesheet submission

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience testing changes, enhancements and / or fixes in ServiceNow

Travel: None

Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have: Experience working with offshore team

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :

Individuals understand their own area and are able to perform all facets of their role.

They have experience in most issues that may arise, although require guidance with new assignments or assignments outside normal scope of work.

They manage projects with oversight from their supervisor.

Oversees the testing of an entire software application program or a major project involving a large development and testing team.

Provides project management expertise for testing activities, requiring medium complex coordination across teams.

Leads testing activities on the large, medium complex and critical client engagements.

Technical expertise is utilized in areas such as testing methodologies, techniques, metrics and state of the art tools.

Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
