The Data Architect will play a crucial role in designing and visualizing the client's data management strategy and framework. This position focuses on providing technical guidance to ensure associates have access to trusted and easily understandable data that adds value. The Data Architect will also streamline data ingestion, storage, curation, and visualization processes, with an emphasis on transitioning to modern cloud technology solutions. Collaboration with various teams, including Data Management, DevOps, and Analytics Management, is essential to establish consistent and reusable design patterns for efficient data movement, transformation, and storage to support various analytical purposes. Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineering and enterprise architecture teams to define development principles, standards, and design patterns for metadata management, data integration, data storage, data security, data modeling, data quality, and data access control. Enhance the client's technology portfolio to transition to a cloud-native, centrally managed, and globally distributed data architecture. Promote best practices and offer guidance to Data Management, DevOps, Analytics Management, and Data Science teams in building data products that drive business value. Support the migration of over 1000 integrations and data pipelines from on-premises technologies to cloud-based integration tools and technology. Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with project portfolio management, business teams, and technology teams. Advocate the use of event streams, cloud-based data solutions, Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, and self-service within engineering and business teams. Develop data architecture designs to facilitate knowledge sharing and simplify onboarding and training for new team members. Mentor associate team members. Identify and promote emerging technology trends in the data space to improve business agility, value, and cost-effectiveness in solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 7-15 years of technical leadership experience within a large-scale organization. Must be USC or GC Personal Attributes: self-starter, collaborative, curious, strong work ethic, highly motivated, embraces change. Experience in architecting and building data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, etc.) and integrations in complex environments. Experience with event stream integration. Experience with data ingestion and storage in Azure, Snowflake, and Power BI. Kafka and Databricks experience is a plus. Strong background in managing data flows and data warehousing. Experience with API management tools and/or REST interfaces preferred. Familiarity with modern integration development and design concepts, software development lifecycle, advanced systems administration practices, planning, design, and problem resolution. Knowledge of emerging trends in Azure cloud, Data Mesh, Snowflake, API/microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, CI/CD, and container-based technologies. Demonstrated ability to foster innovation and challenge existing paradigms. Experience managing diverse data and integration tools and platforms in a large enterprise organization, including transitioning to modern data and integration solutions. Ability to prioritize personal and team responsibilities to meet organizational objectives. Drive cultural changes to enable self-service and a continuous delivery model, emphasizing automation and agile delivery methods. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, transformative, and growing enterprise. Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration within a large, distributed, and diverse global technology team. Successful track record as a data architect in a large enterprise organization.
