We need to dispose of a lot of new/old equipment so we can please the new Cisco equipment. Most of this is Extreme gear I have been hanging on to as spares. We have a factory-new pallet of Junipers that were never unwrapped because we switched to Palo Alto. A lot of boxes of misc. mounting, cabling, and other associated stuff for Extreme switches. Facilitate disposal of e-waste items. Many items will come from the above step. Inventory all Cisco items in the temporary storage area. We received about two years of orders in the last 6 months. I have been placing the boxes in a temporary storage area. I dont have a good count of what we have. Unbox, assemble and upgrade most of the C9200 switches. That takes about two hours per device done one at a time. Well use 50+ GOB for the IDF updates that we need to start on ASAP. All extras are to be stored in the now available storage room. Organize our consumable supplies. We are out of most of our inventory of ethernet and fiber patch cables. We have a storage area for those with bins for different lengths. That needs to be reorganized and filled out. Assist in the backlog of network switch upgrades at remote offices so we can retire all the old Extreme switches we have. Many of these can be done solo, but some will require two people. Assist in the IDF switch upgrade project in GOB. These are 10 IDFs that have large Extreme chassis switches that need to be replaced with Cisco before Telecoms VoIP conversion is scheduled for 2024. Work with OT on the switch update project they gave to us. At least get something documented so we know what needs to be done as I have no idea other than replace all the switches Keywords: |
