In this role, you will be responsible for the advanced administration, optimization, and support operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing large-scale distributed processing (SAS Grid) and modern, cloud-native analytics (SAS Viya 4 & Kubernetes) deployments. Duties & Responsibilities Installation and Configuration: o Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAS Grid and SAS Viya 4 on Kubernetes clusters. o Implement best practices for smooth deployments. o Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of SAS Viya with Kubernetes infrastructure. Performance Engineering: o Optimize SAS Grid clusters for maximum efficiency and resource utilization. o Implement performance tunning strategies and best practices. o Implement best practices for scaling SAS platforms to meet growing demands. Advance Troubleshooting: o Investigate and resolve complex issues related to SAS Grid components. o Troubleshoot installation issues, user issues on daily basis. o Review and understand SAS logs to determine GRID errors and whether GRID is functioning correctly. Continuous Support Operations: o Provide day-to-day operation of the SAS platform on AWS cloud, and provide technical support to developers, researchers, and analysts. o Participate in on-call rotation for critical issue resolution. o Perform patching, upgrades, and installation of Hotfixes across the environments as necessary. o Continuous 24/7 operations support for SAS Grid and Viya environments. Required qualifications: Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience in administration of SAS Grid and SAS Viya environments. Proven success in installing, optimizing, and supporting large-scale SAS Grid and SAS Viya deployments. Expertise in security strategies, performance optimization, and strategic planning for analytics infrastructure. 5+ years of hands-on production experience and knowledge on using and troubleshooting issues with SAS Development and Management Tools. Production experience with core AWS services. Working with SAS GRID-related high availability and failover requirements, including storage architecture and configuration (Amazon FSx for Lustre). Strong working experience on Linux environment. Experience with and applying SAS GRID usage tracking, monitoring, alerts notification and load balancing. Key Competencies: Should possess the ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Knowledgeable in the AWS Well Architected Framework. General knowledge of project management and proactive self-starter. Excellent communication skills and be effective writing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and able to meet deadlines. Ability to independently research and resolve technical problems in a complex IT environment with local and remote groups.
