| Sr. Cognos BI/Data Warehouse Developer 100% Remote USC, GC, GCEAD, H4EAD, OPTEAD only Virtual Interview The Sr. Cognos BI/Data Warehouse Developer will be a dedicated member of the Business Solutions team responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of Cognos Analytics (Cognos 11) business intelligence platform. In this role, the candidate will serve in both Cognos development and administrative capacities to build and maintain reporting and analytic applications and support continued growth of the platform. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Possess demonstrated Cognos BI development and administration experience Work closely with internal business leads and technical resources to design, develop, and maintain Cognos framework and transformer models; create and deploy reporting and analytic packages; as well as develop reporting content such as reports, dashboards, etc. Responsible for developing high quality extraction/transformation/load (ETL) programs, creating logical and physical data models, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams and building business intelligence reports using Cognos BI, SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Provide assistance in the ongoing maintenance and administration of the Cognos application and data warehouses including: user security management; software release management; end user and technical issue troubleshooting; system software upgrade planning; and Cognos portal design and organization. Design and develop enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions Design and develop Framework models for ad-hoc query, drill-down, static reporting, managed queries, and dashboards Develop standard reporting templates including multi-page reports that utilize prompts Convert existing report platforms to Cognos Analytics 11 Serve as a reporting technical resource and support all reporting activities throughout the development lifecycle Cognos administration and user setup Responsible for tuning and optimization of the reporting solution. Design, develop, test, implement and manage complex ETL processes sourcing data from a variety of internal and external systems Expert knowledge in database and report performance engineering, diagnosing and tuning of ETL programs and reports Design, develop, maintain and publish logical and physical data models, entity relationship diagrams and a common data dictionary REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree At least 5+ years experience in working with relational databases At least 4+ years of experience overall in Cognos development and administration, Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Data, reporting, analytics and data warehousing Strong SQL development experience Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS Experience in Cognos 11 Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services/SSIS Packages and visual studio Understanding the Kimball methodologies, a plus Effective communication skills Regards, Adarsh Sharma Senior Technical Recruiter A : 25 Oak Tavern Cir Branchburg, New Jersey - 08876 DISCLAIMER: Please respond as remove if you are not interested to receive any email with this email address.
