Position Title: WiFi Tester Location: Philadelphia, PA Job Description: Demonstrated experience as a Wi-Fi Tester responsible for RvR testing, RvO testing, Band Steering and Client Steering. Experience on IOT- Interoperability tests on various Wi-Fi client devices against the Access Point. Good knowledge on Wireless Security - WEP, WPA/WPA2 and WPA3 Personal and Enterprise. Experience on Modulation Coding Scheme (MCS) Should have System level understanding of Enterprise access points Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n). Expertise in preparing 4x4 Wi-Fi conductive test setups using Ramsey RF chambers and shielded cables. Testing Dual-band concurrent IEEE 802.11n 2.4 GHz (3x3) and IEEE 802.11ac 5 GHz (4x4) Wi-Fi interfaces. Experience in WLAN interoperability testing using the devices Wi-Fi adapters, Gaming consoles, Mobile phones, Tablet devices, Laptops, Baby monitors and Wi-Fi cameras. Expertise in WLAN device testing, debugging, and detailed analysis achieving the WLAN performance KPIs. Executing and Developing automation of various functional and performance test plans. Log level and source code level analysis of customer reported issues from the field and helping customer if they are facing any Wireless network issues on their connected clients by modifying their home network setup. Creating a Jira/Salesforce ticket, assign the defect to respective module developer and follow up/monitor the defect till closure. Using Haystack, Einstein360, Scout, Tableau, Jira are all tools used on a daily basis and find the frequency of issues reported and updated the frequency regularly. Developing scripts, solutions and utilities to automate field triaging. Experience in troubleshooting to find root causes and corrective actions throughout and until closure of the issue. Providing guidance to QA teams who will perform functional and load testing. Working on tools like Git, Gerrit and Jenkins software development and code analysis tools and quickly learning new technologies. Writing Python scripts to automate embedded devices and creating test setups and also Automating basic functionality feature using Python. Experience in testing hardware devices like Wireless gateways and cable modems.
