Job title SAP IS-U with EDI Client: New Jersey Resources Location: Red Bank NJ ( Expectations is to be onsite 2 days a week ) Length: 1 year Interview: 2 Videos This is a SAP EDI person in the Utility industry SO SAP IS-U with EDI The CIS Choice/EDI Lead holds a critical role in developing and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and integration strategies for complex systems. They provide senior-level consulting, ensuring efficient EDI transaction testing, implementation, and maintenance. Acting as a visionary, CIS Choice/EDI Lead drives IT/EDI strategy by leveraging industry best practices and modernizing the EDI environment for scalability and automation, enhancing overall performance. Collaborating with IT, suppliers, and business partners, they make key functional and technical design decisions, aligning solutions with IT best practices, compliance, security, and NJR's business requirements. Their approach includes adopting industry best practices, embracing emerging trends, and prioritizing scalability, flexibility, reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness in architecture decisions. Major Responsibilities: Implementation of ISU EDI Interface solutions, including design, implementation, and maintenance. This involves providing leadership in functional activities, analyzing EDI delivery mechanisms for utilities, and establishing standards and best practices for the Development Team. Ensures that the architecture aligns with goals, governs the process, and collaborates in review meetings to finalize design decisions and solutions with the leadership team. Designs, develops, tests, and implements new software applications and EDI programs, maps, and processes through entire life cycle. Manage the EDI interfaces for various IS-U processes such as ACH Payments, Collections, Customer Usage data, address data, Disaster recovery billing, Refunds, invoicing, etc. EDI Process control, including the scheduling, sending, re-sending, and prioritization of messages. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Billing, and Customer Service to understand their requirements and design solutions that meet their needs. Support other functional areas as required for IS-U eco-system in the Energy and Gas Utilities Industry. Required Qualifications: 10 years+ of SAP experience including at least 5+ years on SAP EDI with full SDLC experience to implement solutions, including core template design / build / validation, roll-out and support. Experience in leading teams in the deployment of the SAP IS-U EDI interfaces in electric, gas or combined utilities supporting residential, commercial, and industrial class customers. Strong understanding of EDI concepts and delivery mechanisms like AS2, VAN, SFTP, HTTPS and other protocols. Experience with GMS, DebtNext, CEAMS, PNC/SEW/WU, IEnergy, FCS/PowerSprings or similar apps would be considered a plus. Expertise of managing teams to install SAP IS-U EDI interfaces for electric, gas, and combination utilities serving consumers in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Deep knowledge of the technical and business master data and the integration points that enable the IS-U data model. Hands on Utility industry EDI experience with ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards. Managed work with JDE systems and familiarity with the SAP ecosystem when used with other programs. Knowledge of developing system requirements, establishing support processes, and designing systems strategy. Experience with Quarterly upgrade process, upgrade testing, system refresh from the production environment A strong understanding of both cloud-to-cloud and on-premises system integration using CPI, coupled with essential knowledge of SAP business processes for the utility (gas) industry. Proficient in EDI configuration, solutions evaluation, validation, and deployment. Business processes, EDI, and data model expertise with IS-U technical objects such as Contract Accounts, Premise, device, connection point, installation, Customer enrollments/drops/reinstatements, Supplier Mass drops, etc. SAP EDI with ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards, along with experience in service-oriented architecture and middleware interfaces for non-SAP applications, will be essential. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Maximo, SEW, Oracle ERP and SAP C4C, SMC, S/4 HANA SAP CIS functionalities and processes to meet the needs of the utility industry standards.
