The role will oversee the functional design and technical development of interfaces, data conversions, custom extensions, custom reporting and data analytics for the new applications. This professional will partner with consulting experts and business SMEs to develop and implement best practice solutions for all development related deliverables. The ideal candidate will have expert level knowledge of PowerBI, data analytics, the Azure Data Analytics Platform (ADAP) and ETL methods, and a strong aptitude for coordinating the work of development resources for interfaces and extensions. The Project Lead will orchestrate the execution of test plans for data conversions, reports, data extractions (for analytics), interfaces and other custom objects, coordinating with the Project Manager and across the entire project team. The role will also orchestrate the go-live data conversions and the initiation of interfaces and other automated processes. Post go-live, the position will likely assume a role leading the companys data analytics and reporting efforts with PowerBI and ADAP. Job Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with Operations, Finance, HR and other business partners to gather requirements and design custom development objects, including interfaces, data conversions, custom extensions, custom reports and data analysis sets. Define optimal infrastructures for processing data and interfaces leveraging the Azure Data Analytics tool set, including Logic Apps, Webhooks, Data Factory and Data Bricks. Partner with functional business analysts and business SMEs to develop functional specifications for all custom development objects. Coordinate with technical consulting resources for the development of technical specifications and oversee the completion of all custom development. Partner with functional business analysts to develop and execute test plans for all custom development objects. Work with the in-house and consulting Project Managers to develop a detailed cutover plan. Execute the data migration plans and refine the conversion tasks to ensure a successful go-live. Work with large-scale datasets and solve complex business and technical problems through analytics, modeling, and experimentation. Develop and codify the highest leverage performance metrics related to financial and operations performance. Design and deliver reports that help optimize business performance and support internal controls. Create dashboards, presenting data clearly through digestible means for team management. Establish data science best practices, process, training, and sharing, to build data science culture and realize continuous technical advances. Qualifications Specialty/Job-Related knowledge, skills & abilities: Hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerBI and the Azure Data Analytics Platform. Expert level working knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI Familiarity with specific data analytics processing tools, including Logic Apps, Databricks, Data Factory and webhooks. Proven track record of leveraging data analysis and quantitative analysis to improve business operations Excellent project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work. Familiarity with system implementation best practices and methodologies. Proven experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and or Ceridian Dayforce HR/Payroll is a plus. Industry-specific knowledge, skills & abilities: Familiarity with construction management and job cost practices for the construction industry is preferred. General Business Acumen and Traits: Proven ability to work closely with key cross functional teams such as project managers, financial analysts, and engineers to solve business problems. Packaged software implementation experience and familiarity with project methodologies, including agile, SCRUM and waterfall. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Proven analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in standard business software, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Leadership skills: Passionate about business being done right results are timely and accurate. Works effectively in a collaborative environment with project team peers, leadership and end-users. Effective at influencing leadership to make merit-based decisions that enable positive change. Education and/or on-the-job experience: Five plus years of professional experience in Data Analytics and reporting solutions for a Fortune 1,000 caliber company or large, multi-location mid-size enterprise. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience. Hands on experience with at least one Microsoft Dynamics 365 system conversion that included integrations with an HR/Payroll application. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a strong plus.
