Job Title: Sr. Middleware Consultant Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid) Duration: 6+MonthsC2H Visa Type: USC/GC Only candidates who are local to Columbus, Oh will be considered Job Description:- We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Specialist to join our Middleware Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Middleware infrastructure necessary for the support of development teams throughout the system development lifecycle. This team has direct responsibility for supporting Enterprise Applications leveraging various technologies that include DataPower, MQ, WebSphere, IIB/ACE, Apache Tomcat, ColdFusion, and IBM cloud environments which include IBM Cloud Private and OpenShift. Must Have; Experience administrating Apache Tomcat Experience administrating Message Queue Experience administrating WebSphere and ACE Experience supporting AIX & RHEL Experience supporting DataPower Experience supporting Client Experience with design principles of high availability solutions leveraging technologies such as local and geographic clustering, load balancing, HACMP, and SRDF Key Responsibilities: Support and maintain the Enterprise-Class Middleware stack based upon IBM technologies supporting a multitude of mission critical systems. Manage new capabilities, software upgrades/enhancements and provide direct support and consultation for application on-boarding and integration. Provide on-call support rotation for critical systems Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Middleware technologies. Collaborate with development teams to provide technical expertise and guidance. Ensure high availability and performance of Middleware systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Continuously improve processes and procedures for Middleware operations Understand and contribute to the development of overall IT strategies Be familiar with industry trends in technology and architecture. Participate in team meetings, reviews, and project status reports. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent business experience. Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and Web protocols (HTTP, XML). Minimum 2 years experience with AIX & RHEL. 5 years experience supporting IBM Middleware products: WebSphere, MQ, DataPower, Client. Minimum 2 years experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift. 3-5 years experience supporting Apache, Tomcat, ColdFusion. Specialist level knowledge of administering IBM WebSphere / App Connect. Previous experience administering DataPower preferred. Experience with tools: UrbanCode, Spring Boot, and GIT. Previous experience in designing and engineering of SO environments in a 24x7 mission critical environment. Experience with design principles of high availability solutions leveraging technologies such as local and geographic clustering, load balancing, HACMP, and SRDF. Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes experience: Understanding Kubernetes daemon sets. Troubleshoot POD startup failures. Experience creating and editing docker files and pulling images from repositories. Previous experience supporting AWS preferred. Other Traits, Characteristics & Experience: Ability to apply critical thinking and strategic concepts to solve business problems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Exceptional verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential Previous Financial Services experience or knowledge is a plus. Microsoft Office experience Experience working in multi-platform environment.
