Develop and implement administrative, automation, and data integration scripts utilizing various programming languages. Ensure database optimization, database integrity (relational integrity), and integrity of the transaction profile in verifying with project design. Install, configure, and upgrade database management software (DBMS) and related products based on project needs. The Senior Database Administrator will be a creative, analytical, and innovative individual who is passionate about database administration and solutions. They will be working with other system administrators, developers, database administrators, quality analysts, solution architects, business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality data products are being implemented to meet the needs of the organization. The candidate should have a solid understanding of database administration, design, and management of database systems, and should be able to perform quality control, transform data via ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Load) processes, configure cloud and on-prem environments, understand and architect a data lake, and work with team members to ensure a high-quality product. They will work with other DBAs (Database administrators), system administrators, and developers to maintain the existing data products that have been developed on-premises and in the cloud to build out a data lake within Azure to move data planned for migration to the cloud. This position will be familiar with Azure database development and be able to mentor others on migrating and building pipelines, test plans, and maintaining source control within the Azure platform.
