Job Title: Senior Database Developer At least 15+ years of work experience as SQL Database Programming, Oracle is a plus. Location: New York (Local Only) Duration: 1 Year Work Authorization: GC, Citizens, GC EAD I need senior level candidates only and local to New York only. Assignment Details The developer should be able to write and understand complex SQL Queries. The developer should be familiar with query optimizations techniques and different approaches to design approaches to efficiently query large data sets. Developer must be able to pivot with changing and demanding priorities. Developer must be able to stay updated with the latest advancements, new features, and industry trends. Skills & Requirements At least 15+ years of work experience as SQL Database Programming, Oracle is a plus. Hands-on development experience in SQL Queries Must be able to design, install and configure various high availability solutions including AlwaysOn, server clustering, database mirroring, log shipping and replication on Windows platforms Experience in designing multi node windows fail over cluster with availability groups Expert Level skill in design and administration of logical and physical database diagrams, normalization of tables, design of indexes, constraints, rules, defaults, user-defined data types, functions, cursors, stored procedures, views, triggers, database optimization and integrity, backup and disaster recovery plans. Experience developing SSIS packages Expert level skills in optimizing query performance, indexing strategies, and database tuning help ensure fast and efficient data retrieval. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve data-related issues, optimize queries, stored procedure, views, and ensure data accuracy. Awareness of data security principles and best practices, including access control, data encryption, and privacy regulations, is crucial for protecting sensitive data. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are important for collaborating with teams, understanding business requirements, and translating them into SQL queries. Experience working with Agile Methodology Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision SQL Server 7-2019, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MySQL 4, 5, Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, MS Access 97-2013. Oracle SQL Developer, SqlPlus, IDERA, Redgate SQL Belt, Spotlight, Navicat, Toad, Lumigent Log Explorer, Nagios 3.0, Erwin Data Modeler, Perl and scripting, Power BI, Paessler PRTG, DigiPort.
