Passed on candidates that lacked windows server technical depth (comes from scale, they have 400 servers) Background and Drug screening before onboarding Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator who will be responsible for the configuration, monitoring, administration, management, maintenance, vulnerability remediation, troubleshooting and resolution of server issues. The contractor will be involved in various project-based tasks to enhance server environments for computer applications for internal IT functions, in addition to providing overall support for the companys systems infrastructure, hardware and software. You will leverage your advanced windows administration configuration and troubleshooting skills to enhance group policies, troubleshoot certificates, implement advanced protocols and harden servers. You'll also be called upon to utilize your advanced VMWare knowledge to deliver cutting-edge services and capabilities to business operations. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum of five years of related System Administration experience Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server products (such as Windows Server, SharePoint, SQL Server, IIS, DFS etc.) and administrative applications required. Experience with Enterprise-level VMWare, Veeam (or similar backup package) and SAN solutions required. General working knowledge of applications such as: Oracle RDMS, Linux, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Azure as well as Networking, Switches, Firewalls, and IP phone systems a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to networking and connectivity and should fully understand the role of IT and computer networking in a manufacturing organization.
