Visa Restrictions: USC, GC, GC-EAD Top 3 Must Have Skills: Minimum 3 years - Progressive responsibility in Analyst/ Accountant role Basic Financial Analyst, Beginner to Intermediate skills. Experience from Large Company (enterprise level), ideally within the healthcare payer space or a BCBS plan. Excellent Excel skills including use of formulas, index match, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and (if) statements. Stellar communication and analytical skills with strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable laws/regulations. Position Description: The Financial Analyst role is accountable for providing timely and relevant reporting and analysis of actual and projected operating results for use in management decision-making. Responsibilities include constructing financial models to forecast pro-forma financial statements and new business growth opportunities, developing, and implementing budgeting, outlook, and management reporting processes and procedures. Requires familiarity in the use of automated financial modeling techniques to support decision-making in regard to strategic planning cost analysis, pricing, and return on investment. Communicates to Controller on status of projects and initiatives. What Youll Get to Do: Report on Business Intelligence for existing metrics, combining trend analysis for both financial and statistical data elements. Create exception reporting (i.e., ad hoc reports). Develop and implement processes, procedures, and automated tools to accomplish tasks. Create and enhance standardized reporting for financial needs. Provide oversight, review for staff members, and lead basic to moderately complex projects. Perform project level analysis and forecasting. Utilize existing tools, templates, and processes extensively for basic to moderately complex price/cost modeling levels involving multiple service offerings. Reconcile and report on budgeted/forecasted numbers versus actual reports. Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Perform monthly closing activities according to established processes and standards. Record transactions in general ledger according to established processes and standards. Accounting functions such as AP, AR, reconciling & researching general ledger accounts. Create and enhance standardized reporting for new delivery related financials. Generate processes and reporting to meet evolving business needs. Develop and implement processes, procedures, and automated tools to provide a mechanism to prepare annual budgets and period outlook revisions. Provide management reporting and consolidations on operating results and projected forecasts. Perform variance and trend analysis on historical and prospective financial information. Develop cost/price proposals and proforma financial statements using automated modeling techniques in support of new business opportunities. Analyze capital investment opportunities using financial modeling techniques to determine ROI and projected cash flow. Review project costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs. Develop standard and ad hoc financial reports through extracting data from financial management system. Perform detailed analysis, reporting and follow up on budget variances, working with Client Delivery Executives to minimize significant deviations. Create financial reports for management that provide accurate financial information necessary for making sound business decisions. Develop modeling focused on capital planning, cost accounting and finance strategies. Youll Bring these Qualifications: Up to 5 years of demonstrated and relevant experience in accounting and/or finance in a corporate environment. BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or related major or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of computer and accounting systems, including forecasting models, costing templates, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate, analyze, and format data and reports. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles and applicable laws and regulations. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and identify trends, variances and significant factors that will influence short- and long-term goals. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interpret and explain financial information in a concise and business-focused manner. Outstanding interpersonal skills that promote working successfully with various levels of management as well as with staff, customers, and vendors to achieve mutual goals. Intermediate level skills with spreadsheets, presentations, and financial databases. Strong aptitude for math and numbers. Demonstrated use of problem solving skills to achieve goals. The ability to successfully research and resolve financial problems. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work activities in a manner that promotes meeting deadlines and stakeholder expectations. Ability to successfully present data to managers at various levels of the organization. Ability to demonstrate a high standard of integrity and ethics.
