Job Description: Job Title : Senior Data Modeler Location: Mclean, VA (Hybrid) Duration : 12+ Months Exp: 10+ Years Passport number mandatory at the time of submission for H1B/EAD applicants. Must Haves: Strong Data Modeling, must have enthusiasm, multitasking, prioritization, works independently, ask questions when needed, passion for learning, and an outgoing personality that will allow them to hit the ground running. Notes: Interview will require the candidate to share a modeling tool on screen with the HMs team (Candidate can down load a free SQL data modeling tool online) This is not a DBA role and not a Data Architect role This is a hands on data modeling role using 250 different models working with 40 different teams Comm skills must 10/10 both written and verbal 7+ years of experience is required ER Studio and Erwin are the primary tools used. Very high preference for these tools Candidates must start working in EST hours but can be flexible once they get used to the team Local candidates are preferred to be onsite 3 days a week Most models are Third Normal Form (3NF) and mostly in a MongoDB environment This is a long term role. HM prefers candidates who can convert or at least be able to stay long term Job Description The Sr. Data Modeler will work closely with project teams to understand business requirements and provide data modeling subject matter expertise. Strong quantitative and analytic skills are required. The Sr. Data Modeler will: Develop logical and physical data models, in Traditional Data Stores (i.e. DB2, Oracle) and in NoSQL (i.e. Snowflake, MongoDB) Ensure data objects adhere to defined Freddie Mac standards and best practices Baseline DDLs Develop, test, and implement scripts, programs, and related processes to collect, manage, and publish DEV and PROD metadata from data models Develop DDL implementation/back-out plans Promote data models into production metadata environments Support DDL PROD implementation Support post-production validation of DDL Be able to support multiple efforts concurrently, in Waterfall, Agile or Modern Delivery. Educational and Work Requirements Bachelor Degree from an accredited university with coursework in Business, Information Technology, or Engineering. 8-10 years of data modeling and metadata management experience. Experience with relational, dimensional and NoSQL data modeling Experience with data management standards and data model practices Experience with query capabilities such as Visual Basic macro development and SQL Experience with physical data structure design in DB2, UDB, Oracle, Sybase, Snowflake, Postgres, MongoDB and/or SQL Server using ER/Studio DA or Erwin Experience using ClearCase, GIT, Remedy, ER/Studio DA Mortgage/finance industry data modeling experience Additional Qualifications Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of key stakeholders Thrives in an environment with changing priorities Sound business and technical acumen Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Able to navigate through a large corporate environment and ensure appropriate processes are met Thanks for your valuable time!!!
