Enterprise Architect (EA) Work Location: Hybrid Reston Description: Fannie Mae is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect (EA) to be an integral member of a highly dynamic Portfolio Architecture Team supporting InfoSec and Digital Workplace. The candidate must have hands-on experience in proactively and holistically guiding transformation and optimization initiatives. The ideal EA candidate is expected to help Fannie Mae business organizations plan, design, innovate, orchestrate, facilitate, navigate, and operationalize InfoSec and Digital Workplace initiatives. Lead the creation or evolution of the EA function, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise information systems, data, technical and solution architecture viewpoints of stakeholders, product owners and agile development teams. Understanding, advocating and supporting the enterprise's business and InfoSec and Digital Workplace strategies Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements; analyzing industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect vulnerabilities and other critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise Ensuring that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities are associated with EA compliance Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA, based on business requirements and IT strategies; overseeing EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the documentation of all EA design and analysis work Participating with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across all viewpoints Defining organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the EA Promoting the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders; this includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan Education and Training and Experience: Degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study AWS, Azure, GCP, CISSP, Agile, PMP, ITIL, SCRUM or other IT relevant certifications Preferred 10 to 15 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical cloud architecture, solution architecture, network management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management or operations management) in a heterogeneous environment or five years of experience in solution architecture, business analysis or business strategic planning Prior experience supporting InfoSec and Digital Workplace efforts supporting Cloud Strategies, Cloud Migration Efforts (Azure/AWS/GCP), DevOps/SecOps and playing an influential role supporting Digital Transformation Familiarity with banking or mortgage providers, their processes, enterprise architectures, and strategic directions Familiarity with Industry Treads in Business Systems, COTS, ServiceNow, Office 365, SalesForce Solid understanding of IT Governance, Enterprise Architectures, IT Policies, Directives, Mandates, and Cybersecurity guidelines (NIST 800-53 and 800-207 for example) In-depth understanding of IT Service Management, Networking, Monitoring Solutions, Data/Solution Solutions, Cybersecurity Operations & Compliance, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery, Identity, and Access Management. Required Knowledge and Skills: Enterprise Architecture Framework (EAF) Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Subject matter expertise in Cloud and Information Security. Understanding of FISMA, FedRamp, ATOs Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent planning and organizational skills Knowledge of all components of a holistic EA Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes Basic knowledge of financial analysis and models Familiarity with graphical modeling approaches -- Keywords: information technology |
