From: Ravi Yadav, Delta System & Software, Inc. ravi.yadav@delta-ssi.net Reply to: ravi.yadav@delta-ssi.net POSITION 01: SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR LOCATION: PLANO, TX CONTRACT: 12+ MONTHS Description Manage PostgreSQL databases and collaborate with our Application team and customers on their projects. Perform Architectural health checks and suggest optimizations and design changes through a detailed summary. Optimize the performance of postgres databases using your knowledge in PostgreSQL Internals. Tune SQLs and write complex scripts for day to day administrative tasks. Flexible in managing PostgreSQL databases on Cloud such as AWS RDS & Aurora,Azure, etc. Upgrade and Migrate PostgreSQL databases to Cloud and between Cloud platforms. Technical Skills required: Must have expertise on managing PostgreSQL for at least 5 years. If you have been an Oracle DBA for more than 5 years, at least 2 years of experience in PostgreSQL is preferred. Need have a deeper understanding of the PostgreSQL architecture and internals. Should have an understanding of the limitations and the work arounds for managing PostgreSQL deployed on DBaaS platforms. Must have knowledge on implementing Automatic failover, Parallel backups and Connection Pooling using Open Source tools. Must be able to handle Catalog Corruptions, Database Corruptions and Point in time recovery. Must be able to analyze the logs and optimize the time consuming SQLs. Must have knowledge on the most widely used extensions in PostgreSQL for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the databases. Must be able to perform PostgreSQL Upgrades from legacy to latest versions with least possible downtime. Must have the mindset of helping customers to implement Community PostgreSQL and Open Source solutions for regular activities. POSITION 02: C++ DEVELOPER (LOCAL CANDIDATE ONLY) LOCATION: OFALLON, MO CONTRACT: 12+ MONTHS Must Have: 1. C/C++ Linux script Coding and Design experience in C/C++ development in LINUX/UNIX 2. Strong in Unix commands, Exposure to Unix scripting (any ), debugging of large enterprise application 3. Strong in library management, configurations and installations on Unix 4. Knowledge of ProC, SQL with Oracle as RDBMS 5. Familiarity with development tools such as GIT/CVS/SVN/VSS 6. Good team player, capacity to work in an Agile, worldwide, distributed team Good to have: 1. Proactive with the capacity to work autonomously and to take initiative 2. Experience of the Cards and Payments domain a major advantage 3. Knowledge of Design patterns in C++ 4. Knowledge of build/make utility will be an advantage 5.
