Location: Hendon, VA preferred but can be remote

Job Description:

Business Support Trainer

Responsible for implementing training and development activities for ServiceNow technical users. You are also expected to perform various tasks that may include identifying training needs for the organization and developing related documentation.

The Business Support Trainer works with the ServiceNow Business Support Management team, technical users, and other company stakeholders to develop an up-to-date learning curriculum.  The ServiceNow trainer will utilize in-person, on-line, and CBT /on-demand processes to deliver the training curriculum.

The successful candidate creates, delivers, and maintains a learning curriculum and related knowledge articles that are aligned with the current and future capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.

Position Responsibilities

Provides in-person and on-line Operational training to Technical Teams using the ServiceNow platform.

Evaluates existing training programs and ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and aligned with existing ServiceNow Knowledge Management documentation.

Performs requirement analysis with various stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to identify areas of need for new training and opportunities for improvement to existing training curriculum.

Creates new/updated learning curriculums, lesson plans, handouts, and slide/video presentations.

Updates Knowledge Management documentation to ensure alignment with the learning curriculum.

Schedules, organizes, and conducts training sessions and classroom exercises.

Works independently to develop learning curriculums, lesson plans, and related communications.

Delivers engaging classes and encourages trainee participation through Q/A, knowledge checks, and classroom exercises.

Creates both voice & video recordings for CBT/on-demand learning.

Utilizes latest technical training methods to ensure engagement, learning, and retention.

Develops metrics to ensure that training milestones and goals are met.

Documents and analyzes training results and survey reports.

Collects and reports training results to the customer and stakeholders regularly.

Establishes and updates a training roadmap that provides awareness of the upcoming training engagements to stakeholders and technical users.

Engages in a continuous learning path to increase knowledge and understanding of the ServiceNow platform and the new capabilities that the development team delivers.

Required Qualifications

Three years of experience developing technical curriculum and training materials.

Three years of experience working with technical/engineering teams.

Three to five years of experience delivering both in-person and on-line technical training engagements.

Three to five years of experience with developing technical multimedia training plans to include CBT curriculum.

Experience with ServiceNow Operations Management & Knowledge Management modules.

Ability to moderate large groups, both in-person and remotely.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on technical material

Strong graphic design ability to convey messages visually.

Comfortable with creating both voice and video recordings.

Thorough understanding of the training processes, including in-person, on-line, and CBT / on-demand.

Demonstrated initiative and ability to start, develop, and complete short- and long-term projects.

Ability to work independently, anticipating needs, and being proactive.

Extremely organized and detail oriented.

Familiarity with software development life cycle

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Experience with CBT software solutions (i.e. Articulate, iSpring, etc.) a plus
