Java Financial Applications Developer Location is New York City (hybrid: 2-3 days in NYC) No H1B Senior candidates needed Local candidates needed (likely video interview for now, but subject to change) This is for a foreign securities trading firm This contract has an initial duration of six months with a likely extension Key skills: Java, heavy Capital Markets (pref Derivatives or Equities) need people who have directly developed real-time (high frequency/low latency) trading platforms. Murex would be a plus, heavy Kafka is needed if no Murex experience Java Financial Applications Developer Skills required: 5 + years Java 8+ Equity trading and Stockloan platforms Spring framework / Spring boot WebServices / REST API / Micro Services Messaging, multi-threaded processes, understanding of design patterns basic understanding of application security (ssl, certificates) Comfortable working in a fast paced, iterative/agile environment Able to work independently git Solid coder junit, mockito Financial background Good to have: Web 2 UI development (angular 8+, html, css, javascript, typescript, websocket) C# with WinForms development Regards.
