Overview:

The position is for a DevOps engineer who will focus on the automation, deployment, and configuration of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM, SCCM, MEM, MCM) solution using co-managed devices in a large corporate environment.

Description:

We are looking for a MECM DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us manage infrastructure and develop processes utilizing modern scripting and automation methodologies in a large enterprise environment. This position will be responsible for some design and implementation aspects, however mainly the maintenance of MECM in the enterprise. Responsibilities will include:
Planning, deploying, and configure MECM infrastructure and services in a large global environment.
Manage and monitor MECM operations, such as software distribution, patch management, inventory, compliance, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and automation workflows to optimize MECM functionality and performance.
Implement and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for both the corporation and MECM administration and security.
Collaborate with other Optum IT business units consisting of engineers, developers and operational support personnel to integrate MECM/Intune with other Microsoft technologies, such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure AD, Office 365, etc.
Provide technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders on MECM related issues.
Document MECM configuration, processes, and procedures.

Skills:
BS degree in computer or business related field or equivalent experience.
4 or more years experience in applications systems analysis and/or programming and use of software deployment tools such as MECM/SCCM
Experience with scripting and SQL queries
Must possess at least 4 years thorough understanding of technological infrastructure and how it relates to software deployment / distribution in a client / server based environment.
Has a firm understanding of the problems and issues of clients and the business environment as it relates to providing good customer support / service.
Effective communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers and staff.
Ability to work through the analysis of the application deployment toolset and troubleshoot as needed to ensure successful job completion.
High degree of attention to detail - ensuring highly accurate work to minimize any business interruptions.
Be able to properly consider alternatives and consequences before making a decision. Acts decisively when required and advises / escalated as required.
Good communication skills and be able to work US daytime hours.
