Position: Automation Engineer (Pharma/Medical Device) Location: San Fernando, CA (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ months Contract Visa : USC/GC/GC-EAD Job description: About the job specializing in drug-device combination products is in immediate need of an Automation Engineer to support projects in San Fernando, CA for 6 months (with chance of extension or perm). The consultant will need to be available to work onsite every week. The Automation Engineer will be focused on implementing changes for ongoing projects, along with project management and design of mechanical systems and some electrical and controls functions of new and retrofitted medium-to-large sized industrial automation machines for manufacturing lines. Top Requirements: BS degree minimum in Engineering 3+ years of experience supporting Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical companies 4+ years of experience in the design of automated equipment Strong experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley) Duties : Design mechanical systems for new, or modify existing automated machinery for manufacturing processes. Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides.
