Position: Release Train Engineer Test, No H1B Location: Westlake TX Duration: 6+ Month MOI: Phone and Video Job Summary/Description: Performs end-user facing research to gain insights that will impact an intentional user experience with Client products and communicates insights for use in the design process. Stays abreast of new methods, technology, and trends that impact user experience research and design practices. Ensures the end-user voice is represented throughout the product development process and that the user experience is consistent with the user experience strategy. This level performs research, evaluations, and validations of low to moderate complexity, covering a single user class with a limited number of personas. Insights and recommendations influence the design of a single product or product line of low to moderate complexity where simple modifications to existing products or components are needed and operator interactions are minimal and well understood. DUTIES: Uses appropriate research methodology, tools, and protocols to conduct user-centered research. Performs subjective and objective research both qualitatively and quantitatively, to gather deep end-user understanding. Leverages appropriate personas and ensures testing covers representative user populations and personas. Performs usability/heuristic evaluations and validations across the product or solution life-cycle. Communicates research insights resulting in recommendations and priorities for user-centric design. Defines the most usable workflows that align with the explicit design philosophy for products and/or solutions. Required Skills: 8-10 years of experience with enterprise level administration and support 8-10 years of experience in writing automation scripts, building application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts for early determination of the issues 8-10 years of experience practicing SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) practice, process improvements Hands on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment activities Experience with Windows 2012/2016 hosted via Virtual Machine and/or cloud technologies such as: PCF, Azure, Citrix, AWS, Google Knowledge of IP networking including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IP routing, etc. Familiarity with large scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning Development experience in one or more or programming languages such as C#/.Net, Powershell, Java, Python, Bash Knowledge of one or more of SQL, NoSQL databases Knowledge of one or more of Message Brokers such as Solace, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ Working knowledge of Splunk, AppDynamics or similar tools Ensure alignment with broader standards, guidelines, and objectives for agile delivery.
