Linux and Solaris Server; Preferred: Goldengate; SQL Server. Location: Boca Raton, FL Client:Florida Department of Transportation - Turnpike Enterprise/ FDOT Remote or onsite: onsite Type:long-term contract Duration:8 months with possible extensions Additional information:The candidate should be able to provide an ID if the interview is requested, to guarantee the Client that the candidate submitted, interviewing and showing up for work is one and the same Requirements: Experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture or a related field (10+ years); Experience with Linux and Solaris Server environments; Experience with SQL and PL/SQL; Experience with Oracle database management; Experience with Oracle database design, coding and documentation; Experience with database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards; Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling; Experience with Unix shell scripting Goldengate experience (preferred); SQL server experience (preferred); Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Install and maintain the performance of database servers; Develop processes for optimizing database security; Set and maintain database standards; Manage database access; Performance tuning of database systems; Install, upgrade, patching, and manage database applications; Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors; Engages with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases and monitor application performance with the database; Recommend and implement emerging database technologies; Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards; Capacity Planning; Database reorganization planning; Performance Tuning; Be available for on-call support as needed.
