Job Description:

Support Clients Vulnerability Management initiatives for Retail overseeing patch management, endpoint management and software deployments conforming to Clients Cyber Security standards.

Bring in discipline in patch management.

Lead or participate in projects for implementing or upgrading technology solutions in retail store systems

Collaborate with the wider technology management and operations team to devise strategies for more effective program and project delivery.

Act as a liaison with teams outside the core retail applications team and facilitate their interaction with project teams.

Optimize, enhance and automate package and software deployments including OS patching, payment, Point of Sale, peripheral, database and security patching. Oversee the retail POS monitoring discipline including the support, design and roadmap.

Guide store teammates on new systems and provide ongoing technical support.

Analyze & manage store systems to enhance the overall in-store customer experience.

Escalate issues impacting delivery timelines and work to remove project execution barriers.

Lead discussions with Executive Leaders to influence decision-making, prioritization, and roadmaps.

Keep project artifacts updated in business systems (Confluence, JIRA, Service Now, Smartsheet, SharePoint) and create monitoring tools (Dashboards, Risk logs).

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage, build, and support point of sale and in-store payment solutions and associated integrations

Optimize, enhance and automate package and software deployments including OS patching, payment, Point of Sale, peripheral, database and security patches.

Document and maintain repository of patching, updates and changes using approved tools and applications

Develop and maintain repository of scripts using approved tools and application.

Transition knowledge to extended teams including L1, L2, and staging facilities team.

Align security patching strategy to software deployments and updates minimizing impact to Store Operations

Translate business requirements to functional requirements delivering functional specifications, data flows, standard operating procedures for store front interfaces and applications.

Provide necessary support for implementing enhancements, projects and IT Requests for POS systems and supported interfaces.

Provide functional expertise and L1/L2 support for store systems or questions related to stores, items, pricing and promotions and transactional data issues or questions related to stores, items, sales, pricing, and promotions.

Maintain and manage in-house test lab environments ensuring version control and configurations.

Schedule, support and help execute software deployments, patches, upgrades, and rollouts, align and review with Store Operations team for final approval and sign off.

Review Aptos package deliveries and sign off on finalized build and delivery.

Provide support coverage for hypercare and go-live of new features, enhancements, and deployments.

Speak to upcoming changes (description, impact, and risk) at bi-weekly CAB meeting.

Provide monthly reporting or Dashboard to track schedule and progress.

Leverage security tools like CrowdStrike, Tenable, or other UA preferred tools to identify vulnerable applications to be remediated.

Identify applications no longer supported by software vendors and devise plan for removal.

Work with applications owners to acquire updated software versions for deployment (or removal as the situation dictates).

Support end-to-end testing efforts and help triage issues encountered.
