Understands scripts. They do not need to be able to write scripts but must be able to read and understand. Doesnt matter if Python or PowerShell but must be able to learn. Will be working with DevOps to ensure security. When the developers are looking to push code into production, this person must look at it from a security perspective to make sure that there will be no issues. Facilitating interpretation of scan results, and then read, understand, and summarize for Luke. Luke is the architect. He does not need another. He doesnt need someone that is going to be drafting design. He needs someone who can execute his vision and plan. Cloud Security This person should be infrastructure automation focused. Understand Infrastructure as a Code They are AWS heavy. Should know cloud formation templates. Not all of them as there a lot but be able to understand AWS services. If there are security notifications, this person needs to take them and turn them into action items. Should understand Web Application Firewall (WAF) and how it should be used. (This will be especially important if the person were to convert). Should be able to read API web Request and understand API Protection (another big factor in determining if they will be converted.) Should be experience in technical Risk Assessment, and threat modeling. Should have Security certifications. Doesnt have to be CISSP (preferred) but should show that they are invested and interested in their trade, but continuous education. Would be great if they knew SCRUM/Agile.
