Role Overview:

The Oracle EBS Functional Support Analyst specializing in Order Management is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate functioning of the Order Management module within the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and maintaining the Order Management processes to support the organization's operational needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance and Support:

Provide day-to-day functional support for the Order Management module within Oracle EBS.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order processing, order status, pricing, shipping, and customer information.

Collaborate with end-users to understand their requirements and challenges and translate them into system solutions.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot performance-related issues in collaboration with technical teams.

2. Requirements Analysis:

Gather and document business requirements related to Order Management processes and functionalities.

Analyze business needs, recommend improvements, and work towards optimizing the order-to-cash cycle.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.

3. Process Enhancements:

Participate in the design and implementation of enhancements and customizations to the Order Management module.

Conduct feasibility studies for new features or system changes and provide recommendations.

Create and execute test scripts for new functionality, ensuring they meet business requirements.

4. Configuration and Setup:

Configure Order Management parameters, including order types, processing rules, shipping methods, and pricing structures.

Set up and maintain customer and item master data within the system.

Work on defining workflows and approval processes for order fulfilment.

 5. User Training and Documentation:

Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on Order Management processes and system functionalities.

Provide user support and assist in troubleshooting issues faced by users during daily operations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Utilize Oracle EBS reporting tools to generate insights and reports related to order processing, sales trends, and customer behaviour.

Analyze data to identify patterns, opportunities for improvement, and potential areas of concern.

7. Change Management:

Assist in change management activities related to system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.

Collaborate with IT teams to perform impact analysis for proposed changes and ensure smooth transition.

8. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and IT, to streamline processes and resolve issues.

Communicate effectively with technical teams to convey business requirements and ensure successful implementation.

9. Best Practices and Compliance:

Stay updated with industry best practices and Oracle EBS updates relevant to Order Management.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies related to order processing and customer data handling.

 10. Continuous Improvement:

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance Order Management processes, improve system efficiency, and increase user satisfaction.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
