UI/UX Web Designer Location: Albany, NY, hybrid position Duration: 30 months End client - New York State Office of Mental Healths mission Rate : $50/hr. on 1099/c2C Need to be local and good communication skills Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following: Work in a collaborative team environment that includes project management, business analysis, information development, software development and quality assurance. Analyze business requirements to design user interfaces. Evaluate user interface designs and write user interface specifications. Build wireframes using Balsamiq if needed from business analysts. Utilize UXPin to build mock ups to demonstrate designs to the team and to users. Provide web templates of prototypes (upon teams agreement) using Bootstrap and other web programming technologies to provide for use by the development team. Work with developers to implement the designs. Ensure that the visual structure of the UI remains consistent across multiple components/browsers and meets accessibility standards. Carry out usability testing of the designs and analyze results of usability testing. Assist with continually updating and maintaining OMH UI/UX Standards and Design guide. Follow all UI/UX standards while designing. Qualifications: 7 years Experience in web-based application user interface design which leverage emergent technologies and accessibility standards defined in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). 7 years Experience in user interface design using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Balsamiq, UXPin or other visual design and wire-framing tools. 7 years Experience with building mock ups and prototypes of user interfaces. 5 years Experience and knowledge of using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive design coding for mobile devices. 5 years Experience in web designing using Bootstrap framework. 5 years Experience working with TFS/Azure DevOps and navigating projects in Visual Studio. 4 years Experience troubleshooting styling and browser compatibility issues. 4 years Experience with designing web based health care applications. 4 years Experience working on applications which contain Health Care data that fall under HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI).
