Please find the below job description and if you are interested, please forward your resume to [email protected] Role: Sr. SQL Server DBA Location: San Antonio, TX or Irvine, CA Onsite Duration: Long Term Interviews: 2-3 rounds Description: The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB servers, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications. He/she will be responsible as the single point of contact to the client for the SQL Server. He/she will be responsible for onshore/offshore coordination. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Qualifications: 12 years of experience in onshore/offshore coordination, database administration, operations, and production support. Experience in database and application performance tuning. Experience with SQL and PL/SQL. Experience in 24x7 support for critical production systems. Experience in Monitoring, Back up/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/deprovisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication, and upgrades. Experience in Always On. Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management. Experience in tools such as Service Now, JIRA, Confluence. Ability to document solutions and train operational teams. Experience with AWS, or Azure. Experience with automation, Ansible, Python, Terraform is a plus. Experience in Sybase, Oracle, OEM, Postgres, Cloudera, Hadoop is a plus. Desirable Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality. Ability to organize and plan work independently. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams. Experience in a financial domain is a major plus.
