Job Title: Application Development Project Manager Visa :: USC & GC Location : : Hybrid [1-2 days onsite in Boston] Duration: 12+ months Experience : 12+ Years Think of a project Manager that is hands on with development Application Development Project Manager to assume accountability for the successful completion of a portfolio of projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading the initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases of the project life cycle for IT projects involving multiple technologies, systems, business unit functions, and stakeholders. The candidate will manage plans, organize, and control all operations and activities of software focused IT projects at varying levels of complexity. The Application Development Project Manager will analyze project requirements and work closely with stakeholders to define project tasks, resource requirements, and to ensure proper integration between systems. The candidate will identify and document project requirements, collaborate with teams and vendors to identify priorities and expectations, and coordinate schedules with all stakeholders. Technical Requirements: General knowledge of data center technologies, cyber security concepts and tools Familiarity with web applications, Microsoft .NET architecture, and relational database concepts Solid understanding of UX principles Experience with projects involving regulatory or legal requirements definition preferred Primary Responsibilities: Communicate effectively with project teams, sponsors, managers, and other stakeholders Develop and maintain full-scale project plans, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are defined Coordinate and monitor activities and highlight anticipated issues or slippage. Work with team members to formulate corrective actions when project deliverables deviate from the work plan and projected budget Ensure that user requirements, deliverables, and approvals are defined, documented and communicated Ensure the delivery of application features, functions and capabilities that meet user requirements Promote use of project delivery good practices Develop comprehensive project plans: work structures, schedules, major milestone roadmaps, communication plans, test plans, and change control procedures Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations Respond dynamically to changing requirements, expectations, and priorities; manage all business objectives, technical needs, limitations, priorities, and risks Demonstrate technical writing skills, experience with proposals, RFPs/RFQs, with the ability to proofread and edit for proper grammar, punctuation and spelling in all documents produced Proven ability to prioritize tasks and functions effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress environment with a variety of personalities Ability to employ critical thinking and good judgment as tools to respond effectively to change and ambiguity across a range of intellectual and practical issues and concerns Ability to perform work with limited direction and determine the technical objectives of the project Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent collaboration skills, strong team player and determined to create team working agreements to maximize efficient and effective delivery of business value and project outcomes Qualifications: Proven experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies Experience with and knowledge of various project management and issue tracking tools, including MS Project & Jira Proven experience driving continuous improvement program focused on project selection and execution Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate both business and technical objectives from multiple perspectives including client view, internal development view, operational, and support view Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with an outstanding record of expertise in technical communications and security principals Experience developing and delivering timely status reports so that both members of the project team and executive stakeholders are aware of project progress and changes in scope or schedule Proven experience balancing the requirements and deadlines set from stakeholders with the prioritized backlog of the Engineering teams Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, change management Experience developing full-scale project timelines, plan and track dependencies and critical path items to keep project on time.
